Choose a group from the following: Gastropoda, Bivalves, Cephalopoda, Starfish, articulate Brachiopoda, Arthropoda. Write 1-2 pages about this group, including its Phylum, its overall body plan and skeleton (including symmetry), its earliest representative in the fossil record, the time that this earliest representative was living; its mode of locomotion and reproduction (including presence/absence of a larval stage).

We watched David Attenborough's movie on Phyla of animals: 'Building Bodies', the second movie in the series 'Life on Earth'. The text is also available in the class room as Chapter 2 (Building Bodies) in Attenborough's book of the same name.
